My Story:
As a senior in high school, I went on my first missions trip to Hungary and Romania. It was there that God placed a burden and calling for missions on my heart. I was torn though because I didn't feel like I fit the mold of a regular missionary. What I DID love to do was take pictures and make videos.
A few years after graduating high school and getting married, I moved to Fayetteville Arkansas and got a job with a local television news station (CBS) as a photojournalist and won multiple Arkansas Associated Press Awards for breaking news, photography and photojournalism.
After a few years in the news business, I felt my heart pulling me back to missions work. I knew it would be different but God impressed on me that HE is the one who gave me these desires to do media work and there was a purpose behind it. I knew He had a specific mission for ME. So I started thinking of ways to start using what I know to do, to build the Kingdom of God in the way he designed me to do.
In April of 2012, I went on my first missions trip to Belize as a Media Missionary. This was when I went from feeling like I wanted to do this, to KNOWING it was my calling. I began working with missionaries all throughout the world and in the United States, telling stories of lives that have been impacted by the ministry and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The missionaries are then able to use the pictures, videos and stories I tell to promote the ministry, raise funds, increase awareness and most importantly, inspire people to get involved with the Great Commission.
